From office Worker to Entrepreneur

My Journey to Chill and Go

Hello everyone, I'm Tania, and today I want to share a little bit of my story, a journey from the office life to becoming the entrepreneur behind Chill and Go. Originally from Mexico City. After graduating, I spent eight years navigating the world of corporate offices, I was a Godinez (as we use to say in Mexico). Yet, amidst the hustle and bustle of the business world, I discovered a hidden passion for the art of beauty, specifically, I found myself drawn to the micropigmentation, exploring its techniques and possibilities for a couple years.

However, destiny had other plans for me. In December 2021, I decided to make a significant life change by moving permanently to Chicago and marrying Mauricio, a passionate Portuguese who shares my love for Mexican cuisine and its spicy flavors.

The transition wasn't easy. I missed my home, my culture, and the warmth of my people tremendously. But amidst that search for belonging and connection to my roots, the idea of Chill and Go was born.

Chill and Go is more than just a business; it's a dream come true. It arose from my desire to share a taste of the richness of Mexican cuisine with my new community, while also kindling a sense of nostalgia for home among those, like me, who have ventured far from their roots. I aspire for Chill and Go Products to serve as a bridge between cultures, weaving together hearts through the shared love of Mexico's rich tapestry of flavors, colors, diverse products, and cultural heritage.

In June 2022, I took the first step towards this dream by participating in my first farmer's market in Little Village. It was a transformative experience, where I not only found customers but also mentors and friends who have guided me on this exciting entrepreneurial journey.

Every day is a new challenge, but also a new opportunity to grow and learn. I'm grateful to everyone who has been part of this incredible adventure, and I look forward to continuing to share my passion for Mexican food and culture through Chill and Go Products.

Thank you for being part of my story!
